Founder & President

April 2018 - May 2021

I established Miami University's Scuba Diving & Snorkel Club in search of other students who were interested in the ocean and marine conservation. The club became a successful organization with an executive team and many consistent members.

A few of my essential responsibilities as the president of Scuba Diving & Snorkel Club included organizing club trips, budgeting, planning and presenting monthly organizational meetings, and generating member participation.

In order to grow the organization, I arranged fundraisers and social events, encouraged member participation in university events throughout the year, and applied for university funding.

Working with the organization's executive team, I coordinated multiple activities and trips for our club members. Some of our most noteworthy trips include ReefCI (Belize), Rainbow Reef Dive Center (Florida), and the Georgia Aquarium (Georgia).

What is Scuba Diving & Snorkel Club?

Scuba Diving & Snorkel Club of Miami University is a recreational and social organization for both scuba divers and snorkelers. Throughout the school year, the club holds various social and philanthropic events with an overarching theme of the ocean. During J-Term semester and spring break the club takes trips to scuba destinations around the world.

Scuba Diving & Snorkel Club has the goal of getting as many Miami University students as possible to be ocean lovers and get certified to scuba dive at the recreational center. Be happy or dive trying...that's the club's motto!
